1. Thanks for immediately making this kit about race. My f*cking god. You wonder why England is an absolute mess right now. This kit is iconic because of everyone who wore it at the time, not because of black players.

Racism is never going away if people can’t stop inserting it into every f*cking conversation, especially when completely unnecessary.

  2. Another great shirt by Adidas for Arsenal. I imagine it’s going to become another firm favourite in the stands, even at home games.

Enjoyed the video, but no explanation of why the design is known as bruised banana, and no acknowledgement of the original designer. I’m not tooo sure really that back then they were thinking too much about making the design reflective of British culture at the time, or the emotions of the fans.

It has definitely become an iconic pattern that has become a big part of Arsenal heritage, and I’m pleased that the club and Adidas are continuing to use it, albeit in an away shirt.

Here’s to a successful season for both teams COYG

  3. I’m wearing the 2019 reissue today walking down the road I hear someone shouting you can’t win the champion’s league. I just waved I note especially as to where I live it will be a hammer, who thrive in winning the flower pot a few years ago

  4. Pure BS, a kit is a kit. Adidas care about selling product, Arsenal are just manikins to show product off. There is no Culture (inserted racial crap) When the bruised banana shirt came out it looked horrible. What makes people remember it was what Arsenal won while wearing kit.
The new home strip is bland – it may as well be beige – but if they retain League and add UCL everyone will remember it.
